It’s my Rookie Season

Danielle Ward, founder of Encompass Parent Solutions, is sitting at her desk with her laptop and writing.

I’ve been procrastinating writing this blog for weeks. It's been hard to find time for myself. Life gets so busy, and as a parent in the midst of the college application process for my son, let’s just say I’m in the dugout!

It's been two months since I started my rookie year as a new business owner. I can’t believe how fast this past year has flown. One year ago this fall, I began my search for the next step in my career. Now, as the founder of Encompass Parent Solutions, I feel like I found my true purpose in service. Helping families of kids with learning disabilities and ADHD as they navigate the world of special education. This is not easy work, but it is filling my cup every day and worth all of it.

I have been meeting parents, attending meetings, visiting local support groups and networking to make as many connections and introductions as possible. In addition, I was recently accepted into the Council of Parent Attorneys & Advocates SEAT 2.0, an advanced certification training as a non-legal parent advocate. So what’s that, you ask? Basically, it’s like I’m in law school! Eek! But, I find it fascinating and it is pushing me out of my comfort zone. I am heading into spring training. “Wish me luck coach!”

Contact me at danielle@encompassparent.com or via my website if you have any questions, or want to hear more about how I can support your family or client in need. I look forward to meeting and helping you hit that home run for your team.

P.S. Couldn’t have a baseball theme without a quick shout-out to the Philadelphia Phillies. First World Series since 2009! Go Phills!
